Grant makers with an interest in food and health have invested in Groundwork Denver as a leader in elevating thepublic’s understanding of food inequity and reducing the barriers to fresh, healthy, local produce for all. This month we hosted a site-visit from our friends and funders at the Aetna Foundation — a national foundation based in Hartford, Connecticut that supports projects to promote wellness, health and access to high quality health care for everyone. While there are many supporters who make our work possible, we are reminded to give thanks to the many foundations who have made our collective goal of putting whole and healthy food onto the plates of more people in our communities, a reality.
