Safe, Healthy, and Affordable Homes for All

Groundwork Denver’s Home Energy Efficiency Program helps families lower utility bills, stay safe and comfortable in every season, and reduce their environmental impact. Since 2015, we’ve provided thousands of households with free, energy-saving services like energy and safety assessments, weatherization, appliance upgrades, and education to help neighbors stay safe and healthy in their most immediate environment: their own homes.

Services are available at no cost to income-qualified residents. This is made possible through funding from partners including City and County of Denver’s Human Rights and Community Partnerships Department, Energy Outreach Colorado, and Xcel Energy.

Services

Our team, including insured, BPI-certified energy auditors:

  1. Conduct an initial intake over the phone and book your Home Energy Assessment appointment
  2. Complete a Free Home Energy Assessment to identify safety hazards and energy inefficiencies
  3. As needed, weatherize your doors and windows, provide LED bulbs, replace faucet aerators, install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and more
  4. Work with you and our network of professional contractors to complete major necessary upgrades to your home’s insulation, furnace, and/or water heater
  5. Provide information about small actions you can take to save even more energy in your home

Each year, Groundwork Denver completes over 100 Home Energy Efficiency Assessments. You can count on us!
