Help us get the word out about trees!
This Earth Day, Groundwork Denver and City of Sheridan are helping distribute and plant 100 trees in Sheridan. Our goal is to improve the local tree canopy cover, which is quite sparse in the area and leads to all sorts of issues — especially overheating.
We have 100 trees needing to find homes, and we need your help to make those matches!
Join Groundwork Denver volunteers and Sheridan residents as we flyer and canvas Sheridan. We’ll drop flyers off at homes to provide information about the program and how people can sign up.
We’ll meet up at Wildcat Park at 12pm on Sunday 3/26. Make sure to show up on-time — we’ll do introductions, a quick training, and then start knocking on doors! Please dress for the weather (including sunscreen) and wear comfy shoes. We’ll reconvene at 3pm for a quick celebration and feedback session. We’ll wrap up just after 3pm.
