Meet Your Rooted in Action Emcee

Meet Groundwork Denver Youth, Greg Rodriguez-Medina! Greg has been a phenomenal leader of his local Green Team. His contagious smile and witty remarks will guide us throughout the evening. You're sure to be inspired and impressed by this young man and the many Groundwork Denver youth environmentalists among us.

Hear from Youth Voices

Youth from past and current Green Teams will be joining to share about their accomplishments, network, practice their public speaking, and lead a fun, crafty activity with you. Make sure to introduce yourself and learn more about their experiences as young green leaders.

Move to "Movement Music" by Savage Resistance

Gracing our space will be political folk revival band Savage Resistance. With chords of environmental, racial, and social justice, their style is influenced by artists Joni Mitchell, Joan Báez, and Rising Appalachia. The band is spearheaded by Andrea Savage, a Groundwork Denver fanatic and former staff member. Stream their albums "Rough Beginnings" and "This is How" wherever you get your music.

Feast on Delicious Food & Drinks

Prepare for divine dishes by local chef and owner of Brewjula Cafe, Charleen Ramirez-Mares. She'll be serving up Mexican food with her own special flair. Before you fill up too much, make sure to head to the bar for beer, wine, or something delicious of the non-alcoholic variety.

Meet the Changemakers & Take Action

Stop by our Action Stations to speak directly with our team members - including Groundwork Denver youth - who lay the groundwork for a more environmentally just Denver every day. While you're there, ask questions and sign up to take action, whether that's committing time, talent, ties, testimony, or treasure.
