Groundwork Denver will again be presenting in the History Colorado Center’s series Communities and the Environment. In the fourth installment of this series we will be presenting on recreation and connecting to nature and green space in an urban setting like Denver.

History Colorado invites audiences to join community leaders for five evenings of conversation, film, and theater, and examining issues of environmental justice in the past and today.

Environmental justice advocates have focused on the rights of all people to a safe, healthy, productive, and sustainable environment, not just in the mountains, but also in urban neighborhoods. Does everyone in the Denver metro area enjoy equal access to the benefits of Colorado’s amazing environment? Are we sharing the burden of our negative impacts on the environment? How have these questions changed over time, and what actions are people taking today?

All programs will be held at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at the History Colorado Center, 1200 Broadway in Denver. Doors open at 5:30 pm
