Volunteers are the “sneakers on the sidewalk” for Groundwork Denver. They contribute their time, energy and enthusiasm to plant trees, change out light bulbs, collect data, clean up trash and much more. Some volunteers contribute professional services, like legal work or environmental analysis, while others prefer to get their hands dirty (literally) by harvesting a garden or planting a tree. Some come in groups, as part of corporate volunteer days or college classes, while others join us solo to meet new people and learn new skills. Each year, over 1,200 volunteers contribute more than 10,000 hours of service to help us accomplish our mission.
